Health Education and Training Video Library |
Why Join? The Video Library is a cooperative venture involving eleven Upstate New York health facilities. It is based on the premise that by pooling funds each institution gains access to a much broader range of programs than if each purchased individually. It is the only program of its type operating in New York State. To remain competitive in today’s healthcare market, organizations are required to make a significant investment in employee training. With limited funds available it makes no sense to send employees to expensive classes outside the facility. With the cost of some videos now approaching $1,000, it also makes no sense for each of us to purchase a copy of a video that may get used once a year, if that. The video library is a low cost alternative to solve the problem of expensive classes and programs. Fees are based on facility type and size making the program affordable to even the smallest institution. Videos are selected by a committee of health educators from member institutions. Hundreds of programs are previewed annually with the best being selected for inclusion in the program. They are selected for one purpose only – practical utility for health personnel. Programs are available for use with every department in your organization. Topics covered include everything from snowplowing to medication errors. |
