Current Literature UpdatE (CLUE)
Library staff prepares monthly
reference updates for subjects such as cardiology, geriatrics, nursing care,
patient education and physical therapy. In addition to paper copies,
Current Literature Updates may also received electronically via
email. Select the articles of
interest, return the list and receive photocopies of articles. If
desired and if available, the library can send your articles
electronically.

Table of Contents (TACOs)
Review new issues of medical,
nursing or allied health journals without taking the time to come to the
library. For each title selected, you will receive a photocopy of the
table of contents every time a new issue arrives at the library.
Indicate articles you would like to read and library staff will provide
photocopies.

Interlibrary Loans
When the article, book or
audiovisual you are looking for is not in our collection, we then try to
obtain it from another library. Requests to other libraries are
transmitted daily via online systems including: ICICILL (the Northern
New York Library Network's interlibrary loan system), NYSILL (the New York State
Library's interlibrary loan system), DOCLINE (the National Library of
Medicine's routing system for medical libraries) and OCLC (worldwide
interlibrary loan system).

Internet
Experienced health information
professionals are available to help library users with all levels of computer
experience successfully navigate the Internet to locate health
information. Instruction can be either formal or informal, individual
or in groups, or can simply take the form of suggestions for good web sites
to visit.
In addition, the Library
offers Mastering The Medical Internet, a series of classes designed
to help busy health professionals more fully utilize the wide range of
resources available on the Internet. Classes available are: Internet for
Dummies, Introductory Health Information on the Internet, Advanced
Health Information on the Internet, Medical Information on the
Internet, Nursing Information on the Internet, and Legal/Professional
