Tell me how to request a literature search...

 You may submit your request by filling in the ask a librarian request form, emailing your request to edarabaner@shsny.com, phoning the library at 785-4191 or mailing your request to Hunter-Rice Library, 830 Washington St., Watertown NY 13601.

 We are happy to provide free searches to staff, patients and family members from institutions participating in the Hospital Library Program.  For all others a fee covering the cost of the service will be charged.

Tell me how to borrow videos and books...

 To identify items owned by the Hunter-Rice Library, please consult the online catalog (coming soon).  Books and videos normally circulate for a two-week period.  Loan of materials is limited to staff at institutions participating in the Hospital Library Program.  Items not available in the Hunter-Rice Library collection are usually available via interlibrary loan.

Tell me how to order the full text...

The library has access to a number of online full text journals.  To see if the journal title in question is available, consult the journal listing.  Some titles a freely available anywhere, others require a password and some are only available from the hospital network.  Passwords will be provided, when necessary to qualified users.

To receive a username and password, contact the Library directly.

 If the article you need was located on PubMed, it may have a link to free full text at the PubMed site.  Staff at institutions participating in the Hospital Library Program may contact the Library directly or use the ask a librarian request form to request a photocopy or pdf of the article.
